Sun sun and more sun

lookingforsunshineshs2013I’ve been craving the end of winter and am off to sunny Mexico, so my next week’s post will be a little late. I may not be able to respond to your comments, and my fellow blogger’s posts,  but will do when I get back.

It’s always a weird feeling having the internet cut off. I could use it, but I begrudge those prices they charge in hotels, just as I won’t pay eight dollars for a bottle of water. Those tiny things irk me beyond words. I will happily plonk down some dosh for Maple Whiskey, but eight dollars for water?

I have to wonder if we all should take a day off from technology, no internet, Facebook Twitter, television, and just be unreachable for a few hours. You can’t go anywhere without being contacted, or sit in a coffee shop and be unreachable. Even with the phone on silent, it beams a little accusatory buss..you have messages. They are waiting. They know you are ignoring them…sigh… I always pick up.  Don’t you?

So stay safe and enjoy the day! Sun or no sun. I’m looking forward to reading your comments and your blog posts with a large latte in hand, and mobile switched off!  ( Well that’s the plan anyway! )

Have fun! I’m planning a blog post on the inability to ‘switch off.’ Or at least that’s part of the post. Now, I just have to write it…

Oh sun – could you possibly bring some back? I’m sure it won’t weigh down your suitcase too much.

  3. Ooh enjoy Mexico, Susan! And enjoy your time away from’th net!

Oh shoot, I wish you’d written this earlier so I could perhaps meet you while you’re down here! Right now I’m staying in a little community about halfway between Ensenada and Rosarito. But, my dear, I hate to tell you this–if this is where you’re headed, we’ve had two days of rain and thunder and it’s a tad cool right now. Heading farther south, I hope!

    Happy disconnect!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
